TiVo isnt losing customers to generic. At least not for the long haul. Anyone I know that has tried a generic after having TiVo always comes back to TiVo.

LOTS of people are getting DVR's for the first time. They simply dont know what they are missing.

I applaud TiVo for the pro-active leap.

You can bet the people at Apple and Disney are re-thinking their marketing model of charging 2.00 per show.

TiVo just keeps adding more value-added services. The best just keeps getting better.
