Another reason for Apple declining to play ...
may be that the contracts they signed with the RIAA studios
prohibits them from letting the content get out to another
analog device where the consumer could rip it to whatever
format they choose. I'm sure Apple would love to get money
from Microsoft for the genuine iPod sticker support. Apple
hasn't said why they declined to help MS link the iPod to the
360.

It would be in Apple's best interest to play along and get even
more people to buy iPods and use them with the 360.
