Standard Oil
The USA even by Bushite standards did not have "big government", when Standard Oil monopolised the oil market and engaged in predatory practises.
The governments who get involved in the market are the ones who do most for the common man. The USA government has abandoned the common man for a health system that is known through out the world as a model not to be emulated. The USA government have abandoned it obligation to universal health care and the common man now suffers. The consequence of such a disastrous policy is now affecting many American companies such as GM who are staggering because of this abrogation of the state?s basic obligations.
