Poor choice of words, but you're mostly right
What they need is better schools and an environment that makes it possible for kids to learn to read and write. Computers won't do that.

As the president of an ever growing interactive technology company I'm the first to admit that it will take only weeks for a 15 yr old kid who never touched a computer can catch up with another 15 yr old kid who was brought up with one.

Them're the facts.
