Maybe if you are dumb you don't need a computer?

I'm sorry, but this is not a technology problem.

If you are poor and illiterate, of what possible use is a PC to you? At least a radio or a TV does something for you - click the on button, turn a tuner and you and yours get entertained.

Maybe the problem is simple to solve, and requires some very low tech.

How about teaching folks how to read and write first - now there is a revolutionary thought. Paper is cheap and low tech - words on a page don't need electricity to be viewed.

Instead of 'the computer is the birthright of every human being' it ought to be 'every human being's birthright is to be able to read, write, and not forced by stupid government policy's to live in squalor'?
