new iPod - costs the same as model it replaced
A Consultant,

Shoot me a note at sbhavnani@currentanalysis.com if you want to discuss further.

The fact is the day before the video iPod was announced, Apple sold its 20GB iPod for $299. The date the video iPod was announced, for $299 it sold a 30GB iPod with video/thinner, etc.

Yes indeed you got a model from Costco cheaper, but you got an 'old' model that has been discontinued and replaced.

Regards,
Sam.
