How can you say it doesn't work well if you didn't even try them out?

But this goes to my main gripe with Apple: The pioneering companies like Archos and Creative that develop some of these products get no recognition from the media. Apple gets a disproportionately large free ride from the media, and ends up getting labeled as being the "innovator", the pioneer and they are "first" when in fact they are not even close. The "now-that-portable-video-is-a-reality" (thanks to Apple, of course) type of stories proves my point. Why is every 3rd ZDNet article suddenly about "mobile video"? What changed? Oh, Apple told their followers that video is suddenly cool, and gave them a device that is not even close to being as good as some of the pre-existing devices (see the 100GB Archos for example). I mean, are the Apple followers so brainwashed that they are only allowed to use and know about devices that live within Stevieland?
