I may bite

The price break is a good deal, and I can load it up with 2G of
RAM and get the biggest harddrive and a wireless mouse, all for
less $ than I would have spent on just the PowerBook itself last
week.

My figuring is that:
1) Mactels aren't going to be out until next summer at the
earliest, and they're supposedly doing the consumer models
first.
2) All my software is PPC, so it would have to run in emulation
on the Mactel, taking a performance hit (or I'd have to replace it
all)
3) by the time they've worked out all the Mactel kinks, I'll be
ready for my next upgrade cycle.
