Hmm... Intel or AMD

To be honest I'm feed up with AMD. They can't make up their minds on a socket.... I feel sorry for anyone who bought socket 940. I think my next build might be an Intel CPU PC.
AMD used to be a good, cheaper alternative to Intel, but a $1000+ CPU hmm, I can't sell or buy it.
Where's the 6GHz chips anyway???? I see dual cores, but they aren't much faster than the single core at the same speed, unless you multi-task....I don't see a reason to buy new now.:(
