The comparison was never a rip on MS
The original poster stated that having too many iPods available
would confuse customers. Since he is an ardent MS supporter, it
was pointed out that there will be 7 different varieties of Vista
when it is released, and if people could handle that, they could
certainly handle different iPods (which are physically different
objects, unlike variations on an OS).

I think people will be able to handle both sets of varieties (or
won't really care).

That means more than 7 iPods, so it will be close (that's
assuming that Vista actually does ever come out).
