RIM to take patent spat to Supreme Court

Perhaps the Supreme Court should re read the Constitution, Article I, Section VIII, Paragraph [8] which states: "To promote the Progress of Science and Useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;"

I for one should really like to see the convolutions that are necessary to justify Patent and/or Copyright Holding Companies. At the very least since these are "limited time" and "exclusive to Authors and Inventors" copyrights and patents must revert to Public domain with the death of the author or inventor, if not sooner.
