Gee, these aren't two ton machines, they don't require a foot of concrete to support them, in fact a side walk works just fine. Hmmm, every city I've been in has space between the sidewalk and the road way and could easly and cheaply build a segway "lane".

If I agreed with your view point, then there is no reason for anyone to ever invest in better, smaller, cheaper transportaion methods and the eventual country wide grid lock is assured. Just imagine, we can all be parked on the "Expressway" the day they finally tell everyone there is no more gasoline or oil. The good part is, law makers won't have much to say about it on that day...
