Higher transfer speeds and a better compression equals a better technology.

If Microsoft told me not to smoke, it would be because they wouldn't want to risk losing their customers so quickly. Microsoft will probably continue to further medical research so that they can extend your life and drain further information from you.

Just because they may have a good idea, doesn't mean that their intentions are not.
