The processor wouldn't be a concern ....
because nobody could really tell the difference between 1.42
and 1.5. A faster or better DVD writer or a video card with more
memory might make a difference in certain instances. I think
when you return a model most of the time they fix your original.
My personal take on this is that eventually they will sell the out
the slower ones and all the newer ones will have the newer
parts. I don't think if Dell or another PC company were doing
this anybody would complain. I've heard of people buying Dells
and bringing them in for repair a week or two later and finding
their model discontinued. Other companies switch components
on a regular basis without releasing a new model. It's just
something not characteristic of Apple. Usually Apple announces
changes or improvements in hardware.
