I have to give mass props to Dell

I bought an Inspiron laptop a little over a year ago (for personal, home use). It came with the standard, 1 year at-home warranty. I had no problems with it at all, until about 2 weeks before the warranty was up. Then the power supply started to go. I emailed their support, gave a description of the problem, and they arranged for a tech to come to my home. Within a week, I had a new power supply. Not too impressive, other than they got it right the first time (which is a rarity these days). But wait, there's more...

In the past few days, the new power supply started to go. The warranty expired about 2 months ago. I emailed Dell support again, and explained the problem. I let them know that even though the laptop was no longer covered by a warranty, since the power supply they gave me as a replacement is obviously defective, they should replace it. Much to my surprise, they emailed me back saying they were sending a tech out again to give me a new power supply and replace the motherboard on the laptop. I expected to have to battle with them to get a replacement power supply.

That is great customer service in my boook.
