Your story has so many say-it-so-it-must-be-true "facts" but I'll address just a few...

What did Gates "purchase" in this case? Palm decided WinMobile serves their needs better than their own OS. I guess you must be smarter than those Palm engineers because it seems you have info they do not. Mybe you should pass along that info so that they can see that this is a bad mistake.

Uh huh? Have you been to the PocketPC download sites lately? There are huge amounts of software to download, a lot of it free. The same sites usually have software for all portables, and you can clearly see how the amount of PPC software is growing compared to everything else.

Mysterius APIs? Any proof, or just another say-it-so-it-must-be-true "fact"? Have you even developed anyhing on a portable device? I have done it for years.

Oh, and about your little Symantec bit... In case you didn't notice, the mobile OS with the most virusses is Symbian, not any mobile MS OS.
