Intelligence in the Internet age

To be fair...: ...the Internet is making it easier for more people to join in the discourse. It doesn't mean people are becoming less intelligent, it simply means that more people of lesser intelligence now have the oppportunity to speak up on a equal footing. It only SEEMS like people are less intelligent these days.

It has nothing to do with technology or even the 'democratization' of information. True intelligence is the ability to separate the wheat from the chaff, in any age. Unintelligent people have never been able to, and it's no different now. They're just more vocal, is all.
