intelligence
The democratization of information does not mean that the information is accurate. Much of what's online is highly biased or flat-out wrong.

Intellignce is the ability to not only devise tools such as computers and the Internet, it is also the ability to use those tools properly. Hammers make building houses easier but misuse just results in mangled thumbs.

It remains to be seen if the world at large has enough intelligence to properly use the tools modern technology has provided. Personally, I wouldn't trust the average man on the street to do major surgery on me just because the expert surgeon has some new, computerized equipment to help him.
The real issue is whether or not technology is creating a world whose effiecent utilization requires intelligence beyond the average person's capacity. What happens when it takes an IQ of 120 to cope well with the world? Smarter people will gain an extra edge from the technology, but the majority will cope less well than they did with a simpler world.
