Yeah, just like WIN XP and future versions
When will Microsoft decide that XP and future products have reached their arbitrary "end of life" cycle? At which point activation codes are no longer issued and you're screwed. The same is true of everything that requires vendor permission to use even after you bought it.

Some day we will likely have to call and renew our car subscription every year so that we can go to work in the morning. What a load of crap.
