I love Tivo
and I've tried most of the commerical and do it yourself dvr. Tivo just works better.

With that said, this changes everything. I've "sold" several friends on Tivo over the years but it stops now.

Windows Media Center isn't an option because MS has announced they've grabbed their ankles for the movie/music industry, Tivo's gone, and I read that Replay is getting ready to do the same.

Fortunately I can still record tv to hard drive and/or dvd with my Elgato EyeTV, but a MythTV system is definitely on the horizon.
