My T5, purchased in June, included Garnet (Palm OS 5.4.8). I also have to say that the battery life exceeds my old Clie. The T5 also has better color and anyone that has had their PDA battery give out in the field only to recharge it and find all was lost, will really appreciate the Flash ROM.

Sonce I upgraded from an older Sony Clie T615c, the "lost" speed was transparent to me and I am not really trying to "go fast" - I just want reliable access to my data.

Since I will NEVER purchase a PocketPC enabled device, if the Palm OS becomes unavailable on new device, then I'll be using this one for a long, long time.
