Why does it bother you so much that someone would do that? It's not hurting you. It's like the old saying about bad words--"Sticks and stones..." You get the point.
But if you just have to have an explanation, well... It's so electrical engineers like me can play around with a general purpose, customizable (that means "open") OS on a Cell grid processor.
