EEEK Buzzword Linux, now the terrorists have won the Console gaming war... "and can come with linux pre-installed!". Not exactly, the HDD is an extra purchase as Kutaragi said "We're not going to equip [the PS3 with] a HDD by default", and its not ruled out that XBOX won't have that adaptation available at some point. And why would you want Linux as an external OS when that is what computers are for, that is why there are two separate markets... PC and Console. Linux is not the magic pill that heals all wounds, especially for the end-user that buys a Console because of ease of use and the desired no-brainer and security hardened feature set of a console. Add user-centric configurability and you get problems across network based applications because invariably, some scoff law will design something to screw up everyone elses good time. Its just human nature.
