(as I type this with a Microsoft keyboard and click SUBMIT with my Microsoft mouse, both of which can teach the software arms of MS some good lessons about interoperability) but of course I can't fathom what the average Joe can do with a laser mouse that he can't do with a $15 optical one.

But it's good to see that MS sees that catering to niche markets can be profitable.
