. . . and here are the potential consequesnces:
1) They could change customer perception of Blizzard through popups/advertising on the server and intentionally using slow computers as servers
2) If they were truly malicious, they could have the server ask people to "re-register" their software and obtain personal information, possibly even a credit card
3) In the same vein as (2), they could ask people to install an "update" that's really spyware
