Exactly how do you intend to do that? Maybe you should
ask your friendly OEM to load iTunes as part of the default
Windows install, then the drivers will be there already.

Or maybe Microsoft should include iPod drivers in the
standard Windows install?

About as likely as iPod support for WMA and Windows
DRM...
