Wonder if this reply will be deleted due to 'suggestive' subject
line?
I got one of the Gold iPod Minis at Christmas and have had no
problem running it longer than I listen to the music in 2 or 3
days. It all depends on if you listen to a playlist that can be
loaded from the HD to flash memory or if you constantly sift
thru your songs and use more power for the HD.
I've heard from people who don't use the On-The-Go playlist
feature on the iPods complain about battery life, then they rave
about On-The-Go and the battery life when they learn to use it.
They had to learn to take time and choose the tunes they wanted
to hear at that time from the available songs and make a new
playlist. That list could then be d/l to their computer if they
liked it or dumped. With the iPod it is easy to add songs 'On-
The-Go' to the playlist, then listen to it as is or use the shuffle
feature for some variety. Since the iPod knows what songs are
going to be played in the list it can load them into flash and not
waste power on the HD.
Like the PC users that know how to tweak their system and get
good results, the user just needs to do a little learning to get the
most out of the equipment they use. - Posted by: Mr_Dave Posted on: 08/26/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
