You don't want a treo
I had a 600. Twice it was repaired. It would lose its signal. Calls
would go through but then the phone would crash. Strangely it
was a bad contact to the fixed battery. When it went out the
third time I got the tech person at the local Sprint store to look
at it. He told me it was a design problem and he repaired one of
them locally each week so a new one would not help. He said
that the removable battery cured the problem. However it would
cost me $300 to trade up after I had spent $450 on the Treo
600 a year and a half earlier. I finally got out of my bad situation
because he even traded me a new Samsung i500 Palm
smartphone. No more problems and I still have phone/internet/
Palm device. Soon after I found that lawyers are planning to start
a class action suit against Palm over the phone problems. I
emailed the law firm and they sent me a questionare. Turns out
that questionare also asks about a series of problem on the 650
too. Between the two phones they have problems with call
dropping, calls that drop just as the phone is ringing (my
problem) and assorted buzzes and other interference problems
during calls.
