The Canadain Government didn't get the money. A copyright organization did and they have been ordered to give that money to Apple and Apple will refund all those who can show they have purchased an IPOD in the past.
As for full of socialists, as far as I know the NDP has never had a majority government. Liberals are out number by the Consevative and the bloc. So I'd say you are incorrect.
