- Actually it's more like going from 2.8% to close to 4%

and we here run an Xserver and I'm sure there are
others..PLEASE!
Frankly they haven't made their own hardware in years ie my
iMac G5 shipped from China!! Still does that mean that Dell and
HP and all the others don't make their own hardware. As for
owning their OS...I'm thinking you are hairing splits there. After
all they sell OSX and if they did not have some sort of ownership
that would be VERY illegal. They also change and upgrade
it..again no ownership go to jail and do not pass go!!
Their increase in sales was in the mide to upper 30 percentile
range while the PC industry had a much smaller increase in sales
that was the dwarfing I was refering to...not a head to head
market share comparison. Still if you take "INDIVIDUAL"
companies and go head to head with Apple....Apple does look
better...it's always been a bit unfair to compair the one company
Apple with all the clones lumped together and say Apple is
getting creamed? Tell me Vinnym in a fight would you rather
stand toe to toe with one guy no matter how big he might be or
with several dozen guys of various size and strength?
Yes the iPod did help but then again so did the viri/worms/
spyware and addware don't underestimate their contribution to
the mix....like many things in life there is rarely just one simple
answer.
