What goes around
I'll ASSUME that you have a steady job here in the USA. Unless your job is in the "personal service" industry - such as hairdresser (since everyone has to get haircuts), or car mechanic or something else that just cannot be offshored - then you can lose that job to foreign competition.
Its nice to see that you drive a big pickup (I'll assume its Big3), but there are less and less of that happening every day. As more people buy Japanese vehicles, the economy of Michigan tanks (highest unemployment in the country). But there is a ripple-effect as suppliers dissappear too. If GM or FORD collapses, there could be a MILLION people without jobs. Not only that, the government would have to take over the pension plans - and YOU the taxpayer would foot the bill. The damage to Michigan would almost make it into a 3rd world country.
But the problems wouldn't be limited to just Michigan. The residents of Michigan woul,d stop buying things, and their poor and destitute people would - of course, move to YOUR neighborhood. And they would be too "proud" to work on your lawn, so they would suck your welfare and rob your house when you wern't home.
SO, you are unhappy, millions of former big3 employees are unhappy, and that sweatshop kid in Indonesia is unhappy. I thought that ignorance was BLISS!?!
