You are correct on the orange/grapes timing also.

I would be willing to by a hybrid TRUCK if it has the same horse power and towing capacity as the one I have now. GMC has produced a model but sadly the fuel milage increase of 2 to 5 mpg offset the increased price and loss in horse power.

Actually and think about this a moment. Yes the US is in a bad position as far as who supplies the oil, but of greater concern is production to fuel. There has not been a new refinery built in 15+ years. Ummm I won't mention that the reason is because of RADICAL enviromentalist. OOOPS did I say that. Please note the word radical. If the gov would do three things the price of fuel to consumers would drop substantially overnight.
1. Reduce taxes levied on a gallon of fuel
2. Loosen the noose of additives. Refineries must produce 230 +- formulations of fuels for the various local and state regulations.
3. Drill for oil of the coasts of Florida and California.

SUV's and my damn truck are the least of the fuel problems. Sigh but i digress.

This social values thing is just another schtick to get customers. A hook. If it works great, good on em. I hope they do well, hire bunches of people and if they want to donate their profits good for em. I prefer not to let people know where or how I make my charitble contributions.
