Spot-on Amigo

I don't mind the stretching for higher ideals. GAWD knows I need to. I also do not mind being reminded that there are problems in the world. That brings me to a point of humility. GAWD knows I need more of that too. But dangit folks like you and myself have to look at the realitites of our day to day lives. If we can we do. But if we don't that does not make us evil.

I support businesses that deal in "socially responsible" goods. If they can stay in business and provide jobs and make the owner a tidy profit (or "OBSCENE PROFITS" for that matter) more power to them. I can almost gaurentee that each business owner found an area of interst to them and turned that interest into a business with the "pure profit motive" fully intact. Any "socially responsible" message is secondary.

This guy Polisner wants to come off insinuating that having a profit motive needs a counter balance. What is that all about? And then to talk about pricing and being successful. Give me a break.
