HP to stop selling Apple's iPod

Reasons for failure?

1. Why by from a middle guy when you can get one from the big Apple, (Pun very much intended.)

2. HP had nothing but service to offer over Apple. Apple's service is just as proficient.

3. HP got all the models later than Apple.

4. The only thing that the HP's iPod did do was to fit into the same naming scheme as Compaq's iPaq.

5. Even a couple of years, the iPod and iPaq still look nothing alike.

6. Apple started selling the iPod to Wal-mart before HP did, omgwtfbbq? I thought HP was Wal-mart's most respectable PC vendor, with the exception of Sony.

7. Poor Marketing on the part of HP. First we hear, "We are gonna sell iPods." Then we hear, "We are going expand the line up." Finally we hear, "We don't want to sell the damn things anymore." If HP wanted to really sell the hell out of these things, they could have sealed an exclusive deal with Wal-mart or they could have bundled the HP home workstations would an iPod.

Personally, I feel that HP did a really poor job of handling the iPod, and I am glad that they will no longer be handling that lineup.
