Good & Bad
I bought the first version of the Roomba a few years ago. It does work rather well on carpeting. Although we have no pets, my wife & daughter both have waist-length hair. It's great having it vacuum a different area each day of the week while you're at work. Why vacuum at home when you can walk, ride bike, or swim?
My beef with it is that I have had to have it replaced (under warranty) due to 2 broken pieces, and then I had to replace the battery a year after that.
Currently, even with a *brand new* battery, it runs for 30 seconds and dies. It's broken.
Another example of "Good idea, bad production".
I'm hoping the newer models are built sturdier.
I'll try again when then next models come out.

I'll stick to old-school vacuums. I like using my arms.  HypnoToad | 07/28/05
