Winzip is a defacto standard of "FREEWARE" even if it is not really "FREE". Forcing people to pay for means people will just move to something else that is "FREE".

So it's kind of a stupid business model if you ask me. Right or Wrong means little but I will point out how stupid it is. That's what the orginal poster was getting at in my opinion. At least that what I got.
