- Free alternatives available - why pay?

We erased WinZIP from our machines at work when we started using WinRAR. The latter can create Zips and can open more than WinZIP, so why bother with it?
Also, there are enough free alternatives that are aimed at this niche to squash WinZIP. Why buy something that adds no value over an open source project?
On top of this, MS has added native support for Zips that really closes the door.
