Early Warnings
Since it's using the remote desktop, not many home users are vulnerable, but there is a VERY large number of Servers that ARE vulnerable since a very large percentage of them have it turned on.

The malicious code could easily be piggybacked onto any other popular virus which would then have unsuspecting home computers trying to crash servers at random (kinda like slammer did to SQL servers).

I'm rather mixed on the entire "early warning" concept. If there is a known exploit, then tell people. Otherwise telling everything there's a flaw in remote desktop is just asking for everyone to start hunting for it before Microsoft releases a patch.
