My problem with Dell isn't so much ...
... how recent the hardware technology is. Like Patrick and ebrke both said, you're getting a pretty good buy for the level of technology you're getting.

My problems are:

1. Service - I don't want to have to learn a far Eastern language in order to tell some knucklehead on the telephone help desk that there is no WAY I'm gonna reinstall my OS just so he can THEN go "Hmm, I guess you DO have a hardware problem, like you said two days ago."

2. Software pricing - If I don't want Windows XP Home on the thing, I figure I should get a discount of at least 100 bucks.
