You're absolutely right.
Since there are practically no apps that can take advantage of the chip at this time, it makes little sense to buy one now. BUT...some of us have this thing about technology that drives us to have the latest and greatest. It's a kind of sickness and there should be a treatment program for us, er, it but at least we're not hurting anybody.
