sound quality is really the key with Zen
98db signal-to-noise ratio for Zen is far superior to 89db for I-Pod. Apple should think about the sound but Creative makes great soundcards too so it's not a shock that they'd up Apple on that one. I have a Zen and like the fact that I don't need to use crappy I-tunes and it's awful 128k rip size. I am a recording artist and I can put full size wav's of my mixes on there - very convenient.
