then any legal liabilities would have come along with the purchase, unless otherwise stipulated. This is what due diligence is supposed to avoid.
If the suit has any merit, Apple will tie it up in court for as long as they can and then settle for as little as they can negotiate. In the end, the lawyers are, again, the only winners.
