AMD laptops with desktop processors
I have a Compaq R3240 with an AMD Athlon 64, and it runs hot all the time. I expected it to since it's a desktop processor. What Compaq did that was not thought out very well is that two fans are located on the bottom side of the laptop. The laptop must be propped up on a book or something so that air can pass under it or it becomes a furnace!

Other than the heat issue, I love it! I've installed Windows x64 and have noticed a considerable increase in performance as well.
