I am not Christian nor do I think I can adopt any single

draconian ideology. I am not pro-choice nor am a anti-
choice..in the traditional sense. I am for an alternative. Change
the way we do things so that someone who engages in sex (a
favorite past time of my own) can control weather of not they
concieve no chance of failure EVER! I don't see that this is an
impossibility myself. Heck we have deconded the human
DNA...We can now use computer models to split protiens I do
not think it would be beyond our abilities to creat a way to allow
those individual to completely control their reproductive choices.
Then we eliminate for the very most part any need for abortion
for all nearly all conceptions will be voluntary. I would give
special consideration to rapes however and give the person rape
a choice. Have soicety pay her for her time and effort if she
chooses to have the child and give it up for adoption. By
payment I would mean something like a full 100% paid for
college degree and other numerous benefits. If she feels the
burdone of bearing the child of the person who attacked her is
too much for her then I would allow her to get said abortion, but
I would try mightily to convice her to go in another direction.
Still I do believe it should be the choice of the woman who is
directly effected by this decision, and no one elses. I don't know
what that makes me in the black and white world that many
people seem to cling too. I would change things so that people
could choose to either get pregnant or choose not to. I would
choose to have Wild Crazy Monkey Loving be free of concern for
unwanted pregnancy and I would concentrate a considerable
amound of resources in the medical community towards
elimiinating STD's and the like. I do not believe that these
things are beyound us. I tend to think the reasons they have yet
to be tackled is because of some sort of twisted faith based
politics...i.e. they like the idea of unwanted pregnancies and the
threat of STDS and AID cause in their sick and twisted way they
see it as an avenue pointing people to what they think is the
only way to live and have sex within marriage where it is safe.
So that is why the geo politics of this nation refuses to focus on
solving these issues. But maybe that's just me.....
