So what?
Windows 2000 was released what? Like 6 years ago!! And Microsoft intends support for it until 2010, why can't Apple do the same with OS9? Many users still use Win9x even though is the crappiest of the crop of M$ OSes.

I don't think people are cheap (well maybe), but I should not be forced to upgrade, when my current system does just what I need it to do.
