Stop the name brand bashing
I run an office with 10 PCs. They are all dell. Eight are nearly three years old and the other two are about two-years-old. They work just fine. We use Windows 2000, run Office, Groupwise, Netscape, Firefox, and numerous other programs. I purchase the Gold Tech support option. In three years have had to replace one sound card and one motherboard. Use to buy custom built boxes, no two were ever the same and I spent hours fixing minor problems. Dell may not be perfect, but it is unfair that everytime a story is written about Dell, Intel, Microsoft or any other large company, people come out insulting the people who use those companies and make blanket statements that are not accurate. I am going to replace these computers next year-they get used a lot. I will look at the options and decide then--Dell will be one of the options I consider.
