Agree it's true today, but it will change
Your point is valid that the PDA market is getting run over today by the increasingly capable cellphone/smartphone. The cellphone is a natural aggregation point for many functions (PDA, point and shoot camera, GPS, health sensor management, etc.)

However, I see that trend eroding over time as networks become more commoditized. It sounds funny today, but image a cheap modem (WiMax, 3G cheap modem only) in your SHOE with a UWB or bluetooth connection on the other side. When that occurs, you can have all sorts of displays and computation devices with you (like a PDA). The shoe modem (or similar embedded modem) carries all your network traffic. That is the future !
