Gee
that's easy! Each new release is faster contains more functionality and provides an overall better user experience. More than I can say for Microsoft.

You wanna compare knowladge base of systems hardware, software and overall computer skill... Microsoft users are close to the bottom of the barrel. Linux, FreeBSD, Unix... those people know more about hardware and how the silly thing works than ANY Microsoft user.

And for Microsoft being in the lead... why are they always copying Apple and 10 years behind everyone else with many things, such as:

True multi-user system (allows more than one user to be logged in at a time).

True 64bit support.

Modular design (they are still very monolithic!)

Secure user space.

Search.

File system integrity (you silly pups still need a defrag tool!!!)

Microsoft is so far behind everyone else they will never be able to catch them. Smart people use intelligent systems that just work... like Macintosh and Linux and variants of Unix.
