Disservice to the kids...
Using Macs in school puts kids at serious competitive disadvantages vs. kids who use the full Windows eXPerience at school. Our local schools were using Macs when we moved here. My rep and I took the fight directly to the schools and won the battle. My rep pulled some funding out from nowhere and cajoled the schools into trashing their Macs for Dell workstations and laptops. My rep also funded an MCSE program for 7th graders who show particular aptitude in MS technologies. I received an honorary position on the school board and am now known as CIO of Educational Technology. My rep and I celebrated our win by taking a sledgehammer to a Mac on the playground during lunch.
