Digital cable box should fix that problem
Could they not have a cable box take the signal read what the show is and display a screen describing the content and rating. Then as parent you could set the digital cable box to allow only G TV from 6 am to 9 pm unless you over ride that with a password.

Why not go a step further and have shows rated with detail button descibe exactly what is shown or said. Say a profanity count and list of the words used. To some "Fart" is a profanity to others it's not. Choice should be offered. If sexuality is in the content describe what it is. Is it just talked about such as in Friends or is show the act with out nudity such in Soaps or is showing act and some nudity.

There really is no need to say THIS IS BANNED. I know people who are offended by low cut jeans and think it a type of indecent exposure. Don't even mention a beach to them as that's even worse. Should we all follow the most extreme case in order to offend no one?

Remember you can't please all the people all the time.
